    Tolerance

The benefit of using CNC fabrication is the extreme control over dimensions and tolerances. We’ve listened to customer feedback and adjusted our tolerances to fit most scenarios. Parts slot together with ease and confidence, and we’ve left plenty of room for grille cloth and Tolex between parts.

    Finger Joints

Using modern finger joint techniques that are unique to the CNC process, we’ve developed a cabinet that is extremely rugged when properly assembled. The added benefit is that the parts fit together perfectly and can’t be placed in the wrong spot. These “digital finger joints” are a modern take on the classic approach by some of the best cabinet builders in the industry.

    Wood quality

We use an all birch plywood which provides unparalleled strength and uniformity. With undulating grain on both inside and outside faces, your cabinet will look great wrapped or stained.

Our cabinets make use of 18mm birch plywood for the outer shell which ensures a rugged product that will last many years. We use 12mm birch plywood for the back pieces, the grille frame, and the baffle.

    Baffle

This cabinet features an inset baffle which means it is slotted into the inside surface of the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right pieces of the shell. This helps tremendously with sound projection as well as helping to keep the cabinet square during assembly. What results is a great sounding cabinet that’s durable and easy to assemble.

This cabinet is designed to be rear loaded. This means that the speaker is inserted from the inside and attached to the inside surface of the baffle. We’ve provided T-Nuts and machine screws to make sure everything lines up perfectly and that the speaker is strongly secured. Using the CNC, we’ve created dedicated pockets to insert the T-Nuts so they sit flush with the baffle, providing a clean and interrupted surface.

    Jack & Jack Plate

Every cabinet needs a jack, and so we’ve provided a standard, mono ¼” jack and respective jack plate. There is a dedicated pocket for this sub-assembly so that the jack plate sits flush with the back of the cabinet.

    Hardware

Your cabinet comes with a plastic dog-bone handle which is as durable as the cabinet itself. The handle is attached using T-Nuts in the underside of the cabinet and machine screws holding it together so that you can be sure it will never pull out of the wood.

The cabinet sits on four tapered rubber feet which are attached with wood screws from the bottom. There are pilot holes included for this part of the assembly.

Assembly is easy and your cabinet comes with simple to follow instructions that can be downloaded from our website. We’ve designed the product so that there is only one correct way to put it together and so we encourage first time builders to join in on the fun of building their own custom guitar cabinet.
